I continue to improve the look and usability of the ReadyToGo template that I use with Zen Cart. I simply cannot maintain all the details across all of the available themes so not all of those themes look the same at https://deliatest.com/readytogo/. I also realized that some of the details are not evident in the demo so here’s some highlights:
Add to Cart Box on the product information page: The box can be positioned at the top or the bottom of the page. Since having the add to cart box at the top then makes it easier to add items without seeing the attributes, you can also choose have them in the box, too.
There’s now the ability to turn on the advanced search for the sidebox header. This is not always appropriate for some websites and the template style, but a step up for others.
Another feature not set up in the demo is the ability to put the featured products (and other boxes on the home page) at the top. This allows you to feature products and put them in front of visitors’ faces immediately.
There are also some automated features such as the social media sidebox. Turn on the box and then enter the your social media links and they appear in the box. The secure sidebox has automation, too, with the clickable authorize.net seal and the pay methods. Once turned on/entered in admin, the icons show in the box. Another bit of admin assisted automation is the inclusion of mailchimp. All you have to do is add the correct info into admin. There’s no more need to alter files to get it to work. You have the choice of sidebox or in the header as shown below.
