I don’t know about you but being forced to stay home, as we are at high risk during these perilous times, gives me the opportunity to review, regroup and innovate my digital life.
I’m working on editing pages and finishing up some stuff I’ve let go on too long; I created a new youtube channel for WizTech and one for my personal blog. I’m sifting through rumors (no, I don’t think Square is forgiving fees, sorry!) and trying to decide what’s really important in my business world.
I’ve had some videos up for many years but I have been introduced to new tools and ways of making recordings that don’t cost an arm and a leg so the new WizTech YouTube channel is here. Keep an eye on it and subscribe! I will be doing a number of short video how-tos for the Zen Cart community.
Work on Zen Cart 1.5.7 continues apace – we are all wrangling to get new features, streamline the cart and make it more user friendly. Digital work not only does not stop when the world teeters on it’s axis, it just continues…. Well, as long as folks can tend to the technology ’cause it does take hands on to keep the wheels running. It is a funny thing though, many technology people tend to tend to being introverts and a little odd. So maybe life doesn’t change that much for us with social distancing!
I have seen in the past that slowing sales can lead to a uptick in site work as I really started building my business during the last recession. Of course, I don’t know what the future holds for our world, but remember I stand ready to help you with whatever your needs are.
