We offer two types of secure certificates and two different ways of getting the three types of paid certs.
First, the free ones are auto installed and ready for you to use immediately. These are appropriate for static sites and WordPress sites. They are only issued for 90 days at a time and automatically renew at expiration. They work in nearly all browsers and operating systems but there are a couple of ancient old browsers/systems that may not agree. There are no warrantees provided with these certs but they do appear in the browser bar as normal certs like on the left above.
If you have an ecommerce site where you are taking payments on your website, it is better to purchase a secure certificate. GlobalSign is our provider for the certificates that are included in your hosting package. Those get you the ability to have a ssl verification facility on your website. We do offer you the ability to purchase your own certificate (a little cheaper) inside your cPanel but that certificate is from Comodo and does not have the seal verification. If the price is presently included in your hosting package, just let us know you want to handle this yourself so that we can adjust that pricing accordingly.

To get started click the SSL/TLS Wizard link in your cPanel Security Section. You will have to sign up for a cPanel store account but the process is simple. After purchase, the certificate will be installed in a few minutes.
